Located beyond the south shores of New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee, the Belknap Mountain range is home to an uninterrupted forested mountain wilderness that attracts outdoors enthusiasts of all types. The 12-peak challenge was created by the Belknap County Sportsmen's Association and also offers a patch for those that want to show off their achievement. We've included a link to this program at the foot of this article.

The twelve peaks are:

2,244 ft Gunstock Mt
2,204 ft Piper Mt
2,000 ft Klem Mt
1,944 ft Mack Mt
1,894 ft Quarry Mt West
1,890 ft Straightback Mt
1,881 ft Rand Mt
1,787 ft Major, Mt
1,675 ft Rowe, Mt
1,671 ft Whiteface Mt
1,670 ft Anna, Mt

The routes included on our Map Pack show the ways in which we summited the twelve peaks, though there are many ways of achieving the challenge.

One approach might be to begin with the Belknap Range Trail, which captures eight of the twelve peaks. We've included the full Belknap Range Trail in our Map Pack to help with your planning and nagivation needs. The Belknap Range Trail is 11.6 miles one-way and requires 3,520 feet of elevation gain when beginning at the Mount Major Trailhead, or 3,250 feet when beginning at Gunstock Mountain Resort.
