There are around fifty standing fire towers in Massachusetts, but many of them are positioned at the side of a road or located in other unremarkable places. After carefully identifying the all the towers, we've located those that are likely to be of interest to trail users and we're now actively exploring them. Fire towers shown on our map in gray still exist, but either have no trail system leading to them or are inaccessible to the public.

Beyond this map you can see our individual trail reviews. These trail reviews includes photographs and even more detailed maps leading to the fire towers and other points of interest along the route.
