Daisy Beach Picnic Area on the Jim Hill River Walk

Jim Hill Riverwalk 3★
2.0 mi, Loop, Easy, Gain 20ft | Between Contoocook and Concord, this woodland and riverside walk is a quiet corner of the Contoocook River where you can take in the scenery and the sounds of the river with only a short hike. Daisy Beach Picnic Area at the tip of the park features a picnic table and rope swing that looks like a great place to cool off in summer. We resisted the urge to go for a dip when we visited in November.

0.5 mi, Out & back, Easy, Gain 20ft | The closest trailhead and parking lot to the beach area is 0.6 miles away at the end of Runnells' Road. Alternatively the 1.2 mile walk from Horse Hill trailhead follows the river for its entire route, and is also the starting point for Mast Yard State Forest hikes.
